Home Again

Well,

we made it home again.

That was a LONG, FAST trip.

As you know, we left Friday after work about 2:00pm

heading towards Kanab, but were re-routed

(due to car accident on the road from PHX to Flagstaff)

through Vegas.

We spend the night in Vegas and got up early Saturday morning

and drove the rest of the way to Ogden, Utah

Our beautiful black Jeep Grand Cherokee

was there waiting for us.

Parked out front of a closed repair shop 

(they closed for the long weekend!)

Then we drove a few blocks away

to return our rental car

which we had been driving for 2 weeks.

YEAH!

(it was NOT our favorite car)

Then we drove a few exits away (north)

to the tow company

to pickup our bike rack

that we had left there when the car was towed

2 weekend ago

(after our accident!)

Then...

we drove south into SLC

to Sondra and Greg Southers house

for a delicious home made

dinner. YUMMY!

The grilled

brats, corn on the cob,

had home made tomato soup (to die for)

delish burgers on toasted rolls

and FRESH watermelon.

Too bad Greg couldn't taste all that GREATNESS!

He was pretty sick

(we are actually off to see the Dr. in a few minutes)

We left Southers in the early evening and headed

down just south of Provo where we stopped for the night.

Got up early Sunday (today) morning

and drove the rest of way home

Now he's in bed, resting, after I dipped him in the cold pool out back,

took his temperature,

and called the Dr.!

He's a fast healer, so I imagine he'll be on his feet again in a day or so.

sigh - glad to be home though!

but

a BIG Thankyou goes out to Sondra and family

for having us over Saturday evening!

it was SO fun to visit with them!
